Perhaps there should be some universally understood, externally visible indicator that a car is under software control, as opposed to under primate control (or feline, if your cat is named Toonces). I propose a strip of red LEDs across the front of the car that light up in a sweeping pattern, left to right and back again. Perhaps a humming noise to go with it. And when you engage software control the car should say "BY YOUR COMMAND IMPERIOUS LEADER".

It depends how well it's done. It should work on your mojang ID, which means no matter what name they give you the game will know who you are. Otherwise you might be locked out of whitelisted servers, or log in to find you have no tools or armor and can no longer get into your own enderchest.
