But in the case of Office 365, what you're really paying for is the 5 TBs of OneDrive cloud storage for the five users you're allowed to share the subscription with. The Office suite itself is nothing more than the cherry on top of the OneDrive sundae. The subscription cost is $100 a year which makes it about $8.33 a month which is an absolute bargain considering that most online cloud storage providers are a hell of a lot more expensive and don't give you nearly the same amount of storage.

I have no answer to that last one other than possibly telling women that if you want that guy, you're going to have to do the hard work instead because as men, we ain't going to do it anymore. The price is too high these days.

It didn't help that Disney took all of their properties (Disney and Marvel) content and put it on Disney+, Paramount/CBS moved all their content off to Paramount+, and all the DC Comics content went to HBOMax. This has left NetFlix with a rather mediocre selection that some might say is just absolute crap. The only thing that NetFlix has going for them is Stranger Things and even that can't go on forever.

What's killed NetFlix in a lot of ways is their constant process of making a new show only to have it cancelled three years later because some stupid algorithm said it wasn't doing well. So now after that's happened so many times, people are sick of it and saying why should I invest my time into a show that NetFlix will just kill off in three seasons.

That and the general idea that everything has to be "woke". Most of us don't want to be preached to all the damn time. Case in point, let's look at Star Trek: Picard. It's only Star Trek because it has Picard in it but other than that, it's very loosely Star Trek. It has none of what made Star Trek what it was when Gene was in charge namely that utopian future where humans had (somehow managed) to transcend modern politics and just get along. But that's CBS/Paramount but that's no less important here.

People generally want to be entertained and taken out of this shitty ass world for an hour or two and be taken along for a ride into another world. This is what the new generation of Hollywood types don't seem to get, we want to be entertained; not preached at and told how bad, evil, and racist we all are. Give me a good story and plot along with compelling characters and I'll be happy.

The real solution is to defund politics and don't allow class to govern our public institutions.

Yep. We need to get big money out of politics and while we're at it, pass hard and fast term limits. You want to go to Congress? You get one ten-year term, that's it. Because let's face it, the whole time you're in office you spend nearly the whole damn time whoring yourself out to whoever has the deepest pockets to get re-elected only to have to do it all over again in a few years.

And on top of all of that, we need to make it so that one cannot go and work for a public thinktank for at least fifteen years after they're done.

As for forcing people to wear masks, that is quite simply Un-American. There's this little thing that we call freedom, it's something that as a patriotic American I hold near and dear to my heart. Forcing people to wear masks goes against that kind of freedom that our ancestors fought (and died) for so that you can sit there and tell me that I'm wrong. As a person who has come from a long line of family that has served this country in the military, I know the blood, sweat, and tears that went into making that freedom possible.

As a card-carrying cynical bastard, we're beyond hope at this point. The powers that be are far too entrenched for us to do anything about it. We have a chance in 2024, I just hope to God that we don't choose Trump again because... damn, we're done for if we do that again. Yeah, and this administration is the reason why we're paying more at the gas pump today. During the Trump's administration we were energy independent, then Biden comes in and puts a number of environmental restrictions on drilling for oil in this nation putting an end to that. Don't get me started on how he shut down the Keystone XL pipeline project.

And then as us normal Americans are worried about gas prices we have that useless shit for brains Steven Colbert ranting on late night TV about how he doesn't understand why the American people are complaining about high gas prices. Mind you, he has a Tesla. He goes on about how we should all buy an electric vehicle. Genius! Why didn't I think of that! I'll just fish into my couch and... oh shit, I don't have the money to buy one. Are you going to give me the $60 thousand to buy an electric vehicle? No? Thought so! Most of us complaining about high gas prices don't have the money to buy a fancy see electric vehicle in the first place.

The Trump administration may not have been rainbows, puppies, and kittens (because it wasn't!) but this administration is a joke and none of us are laughing while we're paying more for just about every damn thing we need to live. I'd say that we have a house plant in the White House but that would be insulting house plants; house plants are useful, Joe Biden isn't.
