Well, with the announcement of the 3070 for $499, yeah. Apparently it is better than a 2080ti which can certainly do 4k @ 120, depending on settings and game. Pair it up with a 3700x, and you are golden for somewhere around $1000. Fact is, most people have decent PCs already. I have a 6700k I've been using for development and I could pop this card in and make a fine gaming rig.

I have code written in 2001 still running on production web servers. It was a asp/com+ app lol. Obviously we re-wrote the software (did this in 2005 and 2015) but for whatever reason some legacy clients never wanted to upgrade. That code hasnt even been touched in many many years. No bugs, no crashes.

Thats nothing. I had a Microsoft PDA phone running some crappy windows ce and needed a stylus! Lol the ui was basically windows with a start menu, not designed for mobile use at all. I think it was the samsung i730 somethign or other. Took a walk on the beach with it, and she never turned back on. I guess the salt air killed it. That was a good $700 down the drain.

When i went to see The Last Jedi (terrible movie) I had this morbidly obese "woman" sitting next to me with fat rolls spilling over. And she for a large part of the movie was holding her kid in her lap and loudly talking to him ("do you need more snacks sweetie", "are you cold", etc). Then she pulls out her cell phone with the screen on max white brightness for 10 minutes!!!! I asked her to put it away she goes "Its important". I said then take it outside. She ignores me. Finally, I lost it, and I scream "put your fucking phone away". She did put it away after that.

I argue my home theater actually sounds better than a movie theater. They never turn it loud enough. Yes, they have better equipment, and more speakers than I have. But my Denon receiver @ 125w powering 7.1 decent speakers (sony towers) is crisp and clear. And the subwoofer hits way harder, like a punch in the chest. The bass in the theater is completely weak in comparison.
