Comment Stylus Epic (Score 2) 90

My last film camera was an Olympus Stylus Epic and I ended up selling it on eBay last year. I was surprised at how much I got for it. Apparently it's a very popular camera with film enthusiasts. It was a lightweight 35mm pocket camera with a fixed lens. Our last trip with it we took over 20 rolls, and after the cost of having all that developed and prints made we decided to switch to digital. And then we took even more pictures.

Before I sold the camera, I tested it. I put a new battery in it, bought some film, and shot a roll. I found the last place in town that still developed film and returned the negatives. You can still get film developed at Walgreens but they won't give you your negatives back, just a CD. It was a great little camera and I decided that I was okay sticking with digital. I love being able to have a lightweight point and shoot camera in my shirt pocket rather than carrying an Albatros of a camera around my neck when I'm sight seeing.

Voting needs to be auditable. It's not just a matter of being able to recount votes, but you need to be able to check every step of the process. You can use electronic devices but there needs to be a paper trail. And as long as Republicans continue to suppress voting, just no to online voting.

On a separate note we should embrace ranked choice voting for candidates. It reduces the likelihood of extreme candidates from winning and gives third parties a real shot at participating in elections without spoiling them.

But all his business deals must be I win: you lose. Real negotiations doesn't work that way. It's supposed to be win-win. I'll be glad when that grifter is no longer in office, though it'll take decades to recover from the damage he's done and that's on top of the damage done by the Bush-Cheney administration. And these are decades we don't have as global warming gets worse. I know I digressed, but I don't give a fuck.
