Right-to-repair laws are typically designed to correct for overly broad intellectual property laws. "Regulation" is a right-wing buzzword for "I don't like that corporations aren't allowed to harvest their employees' organs." He's being called out for pushing right-wing talking points. But you already knew that, didn't you?

Referring to intellectual property schemes as "regulations" fails the smell test. The only people who ever rail against "regulations" are the right wing, and the only "regulations" they're ever interested in getting rid of are ones that reign in corporate power. The problem here is intellectual property. Your desire to conflate the situation with right-wing buzzwords notwithstanding.
