Asking for your image to not be used for training seems like a perfectly reasonable request. The website you want to post it to may say, sorry bud, by posting it here you are giving permission to use it for training. But certainly there will be some that won't allow it.

Same as I'm free to make a painting and sell it with conditions that the buyer never allows it to be referenced by anyone learning to paint. Maybe I won't find a buyer who agrees to those terms, but the terms can be made.

Humans learning to mimic styles is of course an issue in the form of knock offs, but unless actual fraud is performed there's little or no recourse in the law. The cheap and easy scaling of AI style mimicry is causing us to revisit what society thinks are the acceptable norms here, and that's probably good actually. It's still too new, but eventually we'll probably update laws to codify the expectations.

Bad actors would totally weaponize that. Big corps would be fine. Their armies of lawyers will create processes and boiler plate written reasons to reject candidates that satisfy the law. Small businesses without full-time lawyers will lack the expertise to protect themselves and would be targeted by bad actors who are willing to settle instead of go to court.

It might actually be worse than that. My son is entering college this year. I have done very well for myself, and I was planning to pay for his college. However, since this talk about federal loan forgiveness came about, I opted for my child to take whatever federal loans were available given the chance they will be forgiven some day. I'll still have to pick up the rest, but when this kid graduates he likely won't be making much at first, and any forgiveness offered will likely apply for him. So I thank you in advance for subsidizing my child's education.

weBurned it'll be a 90 min special to follow up on weCrashed. Rebekah will be mentioned, but not make an appearance. Some schmucks will again be left holding the bag. This time Neumann will only walk away with a couple million instead of a couple billion. Additionally, operating the blockchain will have generated the same amount of CO2 that it claims to have proof of being captured. Which in reality will be nothing, so virtue signalers, buying his tokens, will have in-fact doubled their footprint.
