Comment I work in consulting... (Score 3, Informative) 45

And perhaps it will sound like self-serving lip service to say, but our goal with all work we do for clients is that the goal of the project must be aligned with the client's strategic goals. If it's not, we'll gladly turn down work or help them adjust the goals to ensure that there is actual value to be had that the client can truly see and realize. The short term benefits of just having billable hours do not build relationships that true consulting should develop. I have had the displeasure of working along side Accenture and Wipro "consultants" at fortune 50 clients where you can tell their goals are not the client's goals. But they have CONVINCED the client that what they're doing is the client's goals regardless of it being a paper thin connection that doesn't stand any scrutiny. And believe me, they do NOT appreciate scrutiny. I've experience enough backlash from completely reasonable questions to have a fair assumption that part of how these companies train their people includes how to actively undermine competitors. Accenture and Wipro are scumbags. Doesn't mean they don't have some genuinely talented people that work for them, but you can always tell their goal is to set up the most bloated framework of a portfolio within a client so that they can milk it for years and years. $200/hour? Yeah at a minimum. And they usually get T&E to paid to boot. And I'm talking in the St Louis market. Ridiculous. On the plus side, when a company like the one I work for shows up, it makes it really easy to impress a client.

so instead of black bars in portrait mode there is useless content that means nothing to the story? Because that's all that would mean. If you look at it the other way...you've shot a portrait video and when you turn it landscape you're just zooming in to the middle of the middle of the portrait video to fit the aspect ratio, it doesn't really seem as cool does it? In fact it seems like a damn pain in the ass to do and not accidentally cut something important.

While I think Biden is likely mentally incompetent to run for office, though his words were can only elect donald trump, he followed that immediately with something to the tune of "if we engage in this circular firing squad". Basically saying that they needed to run a better campaign or that WILL result in Trump being reelected.

I'm here to help you stop being a purposeful moron by helping you understand the difference between someone saying they WANT to be able to open up the country again by Easter and someone saying they will do it regardless of the state of coronavirus containment. Since I know you're not actually a moron, but instead someone who hates everything that is Trump, that is why you are a purposeful moron. Someone who chooses to act like a moron despite likely being perfectly capable of not being one. Even the deranged liberal media from whom you likely suckled these genius thoughts from quotes him just being hopeful, not giving direction:

Trump added that “I’m not sure that’s going to be the day,” but “that would be a beautiful thing.”

So hopefully you're less of a moron now, but I honestly don't hold out much hope.

I doubt the ol' Bernie Sanders wanna be isn't really under any misapprehension. He is just mad he hasn't come up with an idea that has made him super wealthy. Yes, there are super wealthy people who have come by their wealth via nefarious means. But there are also many more who have come by it legitimately. I don't think he truly understands supply and demand or just chooses to remain ignorant of it. The gold rush created many super wealthy people with relatively little work. To say that those people's work wasn't worth millions of dollars (by today's standards) is stupid (which BAReFO0t definitely is). But I'll go further. Those who inherit super wealthy status also earned it. They may have earned it by birthright instead of their own work, but the person who earned that money has the right pass it on to who they want. I know this BAReFO0t guy is stupid because instead of sticking with his argument that no one job can be worth that much per hour, he then peels off into saying how money is fictional. If, instead, our society was all straight barter that hydrogen powered super yacht would have been worth 500 million cattle instead of 500 million pounds. The only way his puny brained argument makes sense is if everybody's time and resulting products are always exactly even in value. A true communist/socialist...but a super dumb one.
