This is little different than how on assembly lines occasionally something goes wrong and the machines need human babysitters to make sure the product or machine doesn't get mangled or jammed. In this version the product is custom pictures/text, and babysitters need to prevent defects such as hallucinations or offensive or irrelevant content. Like with assembly lines, there's potential for ever less human supervision, but even with a century of refinement we still need plenty of humans.

No, now the aether is called spacetime or quantum foam. We can detect vibrations in the spacetime caused by gravitational waves. However, we cannot detect motion with respect to the spacetime, as proven by the Michelson–Morley experiment. Furthermore, we now know that empty space is full of stuff.

Generally, people take this as proving that the aether as thought of in 1900 doesn't exist, much less the aether from 200 BC. However, there are various aether theories which are consistent with all known science, but they don't bear much resemblance to earlier aether theories.

Despite making pledges to cut down on plastic packaging, ... Globally, the e-commerce giant says that it reduced its use of plastic packaging 11.6 percent

Oh noes the horrors! They pledged to decrease their use of plastic and then did so.

But according to an environmentalist group making estimates via Mordor Intelligence, their plastic use in the US increased by 10% because Americans love plastic or hate damaged packages. Oh and Amazon doesn't count packaging from third-party sellers, because of course they don't.
