Comment One of the stupidest ideas I've heard re covid (Score 1) 331
This sounds like a really bad idea. Giving incentives to NOT work from home during a pandemic? How well is Germany doing these days?

Though that's true with any file system
What is this supposed to be? Just 87 raw pages? What am I supposed to do with them, I guess not read anything.
Whose phones were wiped? Are they related to evidence or investigators?
Why not also put a link to reputable news source about this, such a nypost, rt or foxnews?
This does not rely on location service, and supposedly doesn't tell anyone where you where or who you met. And maybe if it is opensource we can trust it to do what it says?
These exist. But are even rarer than ventilators. Called extracorporeal machine oxygenation ECMO.
Because you can so accurately assess mortality rate by looking at number of cases and number of deaths, taking into account the time it takes for a person to die from the disease and the weighted averages that result from an exponentially growing population. Because you have the age distribution of the population in your head, and the mortality rate of each, and can therefore calculate mortality rate so much better than the top epidemiologists in the world. Because not only that, but you already assessed the mortality rate in a collapsing health care system, when not enough beds, ventilators, doctors, nurses are available.
All this is so easy, all you need to know is just some statistics, which these epidemiologists obviously never learned.
I'm sure if you ask nicely, the virus will listen to what you want or don't want.
Thank you so much info! But no sourcing. Could you give some source?
Can't wait to try out a new OS written from the ground up in Russia, to replace the evil open source linux and its friends, written partly by foreigners. Can't take THAT much to get a mobile phone working without any open source software.
What did you think? That with just 30% of the worldwide cab economy there would be money left for a support hotline?
I agree, I think. And you don't need to run hyper-V which is incompatible with some software. For example, vmware.
Very cool! I think the paper will help me understand more deeply problems with the notation I've fought with many times!
However, I'm a bit disappointed that the notion of partial vs. full derivative wasn't raised, which I think is very relevant to the question...
Not catch terrorists?
You mean offline.
Nothing happened to any particular location.
I care.
The best book on programming for the layman is "Alice in Wonderland"; but that's because it's the best book on anything for the layman.
