I almost forgot about my journal after I discovered it. I'll try to keep it updated. In case anyone was worried, my Mac is going to survive. It's aleady made a full recovery. Even though it has it is doing okay now, I might still get a PC laptop, but only to run Linux(and WINE). I would really like to get an iBook instead, and replace my iMac with a PC. It's not that I want a PC instead of a Mac, but I really want an x86 Linux box so I can run some of the programs not avalible for Linux PPC, especially UT2K3. I also want to be able to use WINE. If I can get some extra money I'm also going to get an old AlphaSatation and an old SPARCStation off of EBay. I know they really aren't useful, but they might be fun to play with. I really want an Alpha with Compaq's version of Unix(Tru64?). Plus Solaris is fun to play with, but the conection to my accont to the Solaris servers in engineering building is to slow for X, and they are still running Solaris 8. It would be neat to have four different arcitectures like that(PPC, x86, SPARC, Alpha).

Less than two weeks after getting it fixed, the screen of my iMac is flickering really bad again. I'm not sure if I should get it fixed again, or try to go for the refund since it is still under the warranty. Since I bought it with an apple loan, that isn't paid off yet, I think, I'll try to get the refund so I don't have that payment anymore. Since I'll still need a computer, I may get one of those $199 Lindows boxes from Wal-Mart, and pick up a cheap monitor at the flea market.

I think I'll start using my journal so people have something to read when the main /. page is filled with crappy stories.

I value to opinions that any one makes about my journal entries(unless I don't like your opinions).

I actually have a confession to make. I didn't join join Slashdot to read the news here. I actualy joined so I could meet women. Unfortunatly, I think I may be wasting my time.
