I'm sure it will do an excellent job in protecting the fragile masses from any other conspiracy theory today.

IOTA is pre-mined. There is no mining to be done. That's why there are no fees for transactions. By design it doesn't need to create an incentive for people to burn high CPU loads on it. That wouldn't fly with low-powered IOT devices. The incentive for taking part is that IOT devices can collect miropayments for the data services they provide.

It's crashed loads of times but the underlying trend, underneath all the booms and crashes, still appears so far to be exponential.

Just wondering how they will insist on a backdoor in any open source project that uses encryption. Especially if it is hosted in another country. I can see a great opportunity for open source alternative firmware downloads.

Just because X company says, "We don't want our advert next to any drug-related video (including harm-reduction)" doesn't mean that every advertiser feels the same stupid way. Just give advertisers the option to check-box exactly what type of videos they freak out about without just assuming a one-size-fits-all. Probably most advertisers don't care or would rather not impact on free speech, given the choice.
