Well personally I didn't enjoy the lot of scifi series that ended abruptly and had to be completed with a movie... Never mind that before that they were pushed aside, using some obscure measuring of popularity and priorities. With the exception of Serenity, I hated all those movies for their scripts.

Coordinating with other engines? Isn't that the kind of thing that lets one use Wayland partially as a standalone server side to side to X? Is this the 'feature' of stepping down and letting other servers or engines develop?
Maybe we'll evolve this way past the Xorg.conf and its documentation, good riddance, moving from a wrinkled legacy to a more sane and friendly approach. I love X when it works, it's unbearable when it doesn't.

Ok, so how should we refer to the economic system of countries under 'traditional' communist governments? What makes such system (un)successful? Can you really compare the social response of people to the failure of one economical system based on political context? If you can tell apples are sweeter than lemons based on their color, tell me why comparing two types of licences that promote freedom with one of them requiring equality of freedom as analogy to the communist ideology in economic systems versus capitalist approach is such a nuisance to you, just enough to miss the joke?
We got it, your system is better 'cause the other one lost.. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath over your prediction about China. It was on the map longer than any of us.

Except there aren't really apps for that kind of screen in Windows... Same goes for Linux DE-s. They used Android because there are apps for that kind of screen and input type. Intel wants to get a grip of the mobile market so I guess it's natural to promote Android x86 and start from there up. Do you see a better alternative?

Using Non-Newtonian Fluids To Fill Potholes 260

sciencehabit writes in with a link about a group of students who have come up with an interesting idea about how to fill potholes. "Non-Newtonian fluids are the stars of high school science demonstrations. In one example, an ooey-gooey batter made from corn starch and water oozes like a liquid when moved slowly. But punch it, or run across a giant puddle of it, and it becomes stiff like a solid. Now, a group of college students has figured out a new use for the strange stuff: filler for potholes."

Submission + - Niceness May Largely Be Determined by DNA

An anonymous reader writes: Human kindness has traditionally been regarded as something people learn through experience, but scientists have discovered that some people are actually born with genes that predispose them towards niceness. Past research found that levels of oxytocin and vasopressin hormones influence how people treat one another, especially in close relationships.
