Tequila can only be named as such if it is made in Jalisco, Mexico (I don't remember if it have to actually be made in the the town of Tequila or it can be anywhere in the state), however there is no restriction on the production, you can actually make tequila, but not name it "Tequila".

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, I'm being serious, the Spanish Conquest was actually erased from the official history books, however the media actually noticed and there was a pretty big scandal, the government replied with something like "don't worry guys, it will be in next (scholar) year editions" (the books for the next scholar year, not the books going to be released next year) which haven't been released yet.

So, you're against computer files in general?

Printers, MD5 hashes, offline back-ups. You can use the technology on your favor rather than just being paranoid avoid it at all cost.

Here in Mexico you don't need fancy eBook stuff to rewrite history to match the political flavor of the month, the government issues official textbooks, which every year come heavily edited, last edition comes with 200 less years of history, the Spanish conquest never happened on the new editions.

Submission + - Steam-powered car breaks century-old speed record

mcgrew writes: "New Scientist reports that a stem powered car has broken the 1906 record of 204 km/hr (127 mph) for the fastest steam powered automobile, the Stanley Steamer. The Inspiration made a top speed of 225 kilometres per hour (140 miles per hour) on August 26.

The car's engine burns liquid petroleum gas to heat water in 12 suitcase-sized boilers, creating steam heated to 400C. The steam then drives a two-stage turbine that spins at 13,000 revolutions per minute to power its wheels.

The FIA requires two 1.6-km-long runs to be performed in opposite directions — to cancel out any effect from wind — within 60 minutes.

On another non-scientific observation, the woman don't need to be in the actual arm to be a fashion accessory, I was getting hit on more (more like, "I was actually getting hit on") when I was with a gf, even when I was not with her at that moment.

IÂm willing to bet that there is more than just "seeing someone with a woman" like "he looks self confident" or something.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on that one.

From the list I gave with the personal identification numbers, the only one that is (supposedly) required for everyone is the CURP (which was created somewhat recently, and with the propose of using it as the only number you'll ever need, but utterly failed since now is just another number you have to remember, you still need all the other PINs) but is not really secret since you can actually get the CURP of anyone if you know the full name, date of birth and the state of birth from a government's website.

I'm not trying to be a troll here, this is an honest question.

I'm not from the United States, nor I live there, but I never got why exactly is a SSN supposed to be secret, is it possible to do identity theft with only the SSN alone? Here in Mexico we have a ton of personal identification numbers (RFC, CURP, IFE number, Passport, Drivers License, Military Service, Social Security, Professional Certificate, etc) and none of them is really supposed to be secret, I don't get why people from the USA a secret number that you're not supposed to divulge, yet you need to give up for reasons like cable TV contracts and there's chaos when something like a database of SSN got leaked .
