I have to agree with this as well though mine from a different side. Sure the guys showed up on time to my apartment but did little to help me. I have HD Cable and there top tier consumer internet in an APT with probably about 20 lines coming from one box on the outside to the rooms in the complex. The line coming into my apt was old and needed replaced as it wouldn't handle the signal required which I knew since I deal with it in the military. The guy that installed my cable told me to make an apt to have the line changed. So after seeing how bad it was I call and tell them hey the initial installer said i need my line replaced please do it. They proceed to send a guy to test the line and tell me its bad, but wait he cant replace it they need to send another guy. Then they send another guy to replace the line but he can't put it somewhere off of the parking lot when there were two of them so hey lets just leave it lie here where it can be cut. Then they send another guy to fix the breaks that kept happening and he too just fixed the breaks and let it lie there. Finally after 1 initial installer and 3 different techs, I had a 4th tech come and fix the breaks once again and this time run the line where all the other lines were so that it was safe from being cut again. Honestly when I tell you the first time that I need new line run and you send three guys to do it wrong we have issues. Hence another reason I hate comcast and wish I could have something else installed into my apartment.

I have dealt with several different cable and internet companies and I have to agree that IMO Comcast is by far the worst. Their prices are outrages when looking at what you get compared to what you pay. On top of that their tech support has been severly lacking. Honestly I am paying $110 for half of the services I was getting from Verizon FIOS and I was paying only $90 from VZ. The only reason I have comcast again is because unfortunately when i moved FIOS wasn't available for my Apartment Complex. Those who defend Comcast really need to look at the price comparisons and customer service reviews between them, FIOS, DirectTV, and hell even Dish network. Now I know a lot of people have local companies that they go through as well FYI I used to have Adelphia before comcast bought them. So in the end YES COMCAST DESERVES THIS AWARD.

I think this all goes back to the speaker. I have taken many public speaking courses and have done several business plan presentations. Every presentation I have done since High School I have used PP. The problem is not the software so much as it is the speaker. I have seen too many people attempt to make their PP Presentations extravagent and have so many transitions and flying images and words that it becomes to hard to concentrate on what is going on. The bad part is, it is the people who are scared to talk in public and want to take the attention away from them and onto the PP slides that do this. I have been able to easily give public presentations and convey my point only to have PP so that my audience knew exactly what they were supposed to be understanding. PP should be used like a certification book. The important topics that you are supposed to get out of the presentation are bullet points in the beginning and then you will further explain and go more in depth about those topics. As I am also in the military I see more and more PP presentations and whomever has created them does not get their point across very well do to all the animation. Such as the if you just give a PP Presentation to someone and say hey thats my plan, now if the PP presentation was done properly, how does this help anyone since you are supposed to be PRESENTING it in front of people.

I can understand where you are coming from, hell I grew up playing football, baseball and other sports, yet became a tech freak myself. I would still love to be playing football but I know my body even at the age of 23 can't really take it much anymore. But if given the opportunity to get outside and play again with friends I would do it in a heartbeat. Hell I even played pickup games at my old college for fun. Yeah I smoke and have had surgery on my knees, but the ability to still be able to go run around outside and enjoy the outdoors is what i would love for kids to experience these days. For some reason people relate it to just the suburbs as to why kids stay indoors, but honestly drive through a city and go by any park or football/baseball field and tell me how many kids you think are there. My guess is that it is probably half if not more than the amount that were there even as I was growing up. I wish parents would just pay attention to their kids more and take them outside even for just an hour or two a day so that the kids can experience what the parents used to have.

Well I never really lived in a suburb, but I had friends that did and I still recall going over there and playing outside all day. I grew up in the city where I had organized sport, which ARE available in the suburbs, and just running around with friends. Now i wasn't a trouble make by any means but still was able to have fun. I see kids today and if they aren't inside glued to a console or computer they are just trying to be cool hanging on street corners. I have seen my city close rec centers that kids used to go to in order to play basketball or hockey. I have seen my old neighborhood sports seize to exist. It is a shame what this country has become and yet everyone wonders why their kids are fat and out of shape. I'm sorry but even you know as I can tell by your post that parents today just aren't pressuring their kids or even offering their kids to get involved with anything that requires the parents to get up and actually do something. Whether its watch them while they play outside or take them to some other organized outdoor activity.

They can play tag, release, street football, so what you may get hurt but you know what thats part of being a kid. I had stitches and broken bones, but then I also played organized sports. The lack of greenspace is no excuse for not getting out and enjoying your life. Be active and actually do something. This excuse could be said for why America is so obese as well. Come on now schools can't even have dodgeball because it makes the obese kids feel inadequate. Give me a break get some exercise and dont live off fast food.

It is only neglect if there is a curfew and/or if you don't know where they are at, I was allowed all around my neighborhood as well as I played baseball, football, hockey, and played release in the neighborhood. So kids today like skateparks and others still play sports but because parents dont want to keep an eye on their kids or they want to be lazy instead of letting their kids enjoy being kids they just give them whatever electronic device they want to shut them up because its the "cool" thing to do.

Though consoles have taken over the lives of teens and kids in general, this also is an issue with society and parents. Kids aren't told to go play outside anymore because parents are so filled with fear about their kids getting kidnapped or shot or something of the violent nature that they prefer them to stay inside. By all means i'm only 23 but i have a 2 year old son, and you better believe he will be outside playing and wont even have a cellphone until he is in H.S and even then being a techy his computer and cellphone use will be closely monitored so that he does stay active with friends. Before i even hit college i was outside everyday until the street lights came on either playing football or running around in general. Kids aren't really allowed to do that anymore because of parents fears. By all means i still played my consoles like crazy but parents no longer make take their kids outside to play sports or anything.

As an update, a good portion of China is already running on IPv6. A lot of technology is further along in China and Japan than it is in the US, and yes I do live in the US but I also do my research. As was stated in an earlier post, you can also utilize tunneling protocols and the such on your networks to change internal IPv4 Addresses to IPv6 and then back again. So attempting to delay the inevetable of IPv4 space running out by harvesting unused IP space is pointless. Make companies upgrade their infrastructure now or suffer the losses later.

IMHO religious extremeist exist within all religions, this does not exclude any one, Christians, Muslims, Buddhist I'm sure, any of them. Before people can get on the case of oh this religion kills in the name of their God more than this one realize that in all religions there are extremeist that believe their religion is superior. Yes I am a Christian and there is NOWHERE in the Bible where it says it is right to kill someone else in Gods name. It is a SIN and a horrible sin at that. Muslims are the same way as far as I can tell, it is not right to kill though the extremeists have interepreted their book in such away that it is OK to kill for Allah, Just as the Christians did on a massive scale during the Crusades. Before we judge someone because of what they believe, lets look at ourselves first. I for one would not kill someone just because they do not believe in my God, for it is not my place to judge, though to defend my family and my life I would commit that sin and for only that reason. We all have our differences yet we coexist because we are human and have intelligence and can think. It is the ones that believe they are above everyone that ruin the true belief of religion and what it means, as well as race, it is the acts of a few that cause others to be prejudice against the majority.
