Fedora is the keyword. I keep having different hardware problems with Ubuntu on different computers, whereas with Fedora (I've only used 11 and 12, so I don't know if this was true before them), things were WAY easier/faster, including comparison with Windows.

Copyrights. If you download it once, it counts as one copy, and you don't have the right to distribute it (unless you pay the ~$20000 corporate use cost). You download ten copies, you get the usage rights for ten people.

You might have encountered some shitty bug. It did keep my passwords, the only things it did (well, it said it was doing, at least) was synchronizing the whole Gmail IMAP folder over again and indexing all folders (I don't know if indexing was done in TB2?).

Not only for linux. I am using Windows XP, and definitely agreed about the Gmail IMAP side, it's so much better now. It finally gives a real reason not to use the url ever again on my PC.
I have yet to check the other things though, and it still doesn't do too good on newsgroups refreshing (in terms of speed) as far as I've seen.
