Replacing tactile UI with touchscreens is a fucking shit idea. Its a shit idea in keyboards, it's a shit idea in cars (CarPlay is terrible, and I say that as an Apple fan - BMW and others figured this out years ago - you need a tactile device with detents/clicks/feedback in order to be able to use it without constantly looking at it). CarPlay is fucking dangerous, and I say that as a daily user of it.

Touchscreens are "good enough" as a compromise in scenarios where it isn't possible for packaging reasons to have physical buttons, etc. but this whole movement of replacing every physical interface with touch screens needs to die.

... and using one device that is actually fit for purpose is more efficient than using one which is less effective at everything.

Because AMD are a smaller company and just as liable to have a down run of shitty products. Apple can do this themselves, and not be tied to any third party who's interests are not directly aligned with Apple's - so they did. It also gives them a competitive advantage that none of their competition have - very tight integration between hardware and software.

Yes it has always been a linux fanboy site. But it used to actually acknowledge technical excellence where applicable. Now it's changed hands, it's just basically "shit on anything not Linux" whether or not it's good or not. And attempt to spin any flaw in Linux as much as possible.

i've used lenovos. no, they do not qualify. it's funny seeing responses such as yours from people who clearly haven't lived with a mac and actually experienced battery life and input devices that don't suck.

Go use a retina display, on a mac (so it doesn't have brain damaged scaling) for a week. It will ruin you for 1080p.
