I have similar feelings, but that is not how it is. I just checked (https://leasing.com/top-picks/best-hybrids-for-electric-range-plug-in/): the max electric range for many PHEV is less than 40 miles (exceptions BMW X5 xDrive45e – 54 miles and Mercedes GLE 350de – 66 miles). For you and me, the manufacturers must improve the balance: more electric range (more/bigger/better batteries) and less gasoline range (smaller tank).

Okay, I believe that I follow the argument of an expanding universe, here. BUT, the article ASSUMES that nothing major happened to Earendel in 12.9 billion years ("Earendel is so distant that the starlight has taken 12.9 billion years to reach us.") During those 12.9 billion years, Earendel could have been gulped by a black-hole OR slammed something else OR maybe gone nova OR ???: we do not know -- so, we don't know where it is today (sort of a macro/astronomical Heisenberg uncertainty principle).

Above: "I can't go out today and license a RISC-V core which is even as good as the core of the Raspberry Pi 4." I just don't buy that. There seem to be RISC-V cores available: commercial and even BSD licenses. SiFive etc. RISC-V Exchange: Cores & SoCs RISC-V might be too expensive to produce, but . . .

Just to continue the conversation . . .
It seems that "a condition that checks to see if the item has been subsequently sold" was not implicated here.
Contracts without expiration dates can be a big problem. In business, I occasionally see concurrent contracts with different pricing etc. (cash versus mortgage contingency etc.).
Here, the sellers failed to withdraw/cancel old contracts because they were cheap & stupid.

Comment Re:I hate forced sync (Score 2) 99

I hope that someone else can chime in . . .
Anyway, the processes/tools that I mentioned do NOT need an internet connection; they use USB/Lightning.

Copy iPhone Contacts to Your Mac using iTunes: https://becomethesolution.com/...
Export (Mac) contacts to vcf (vCard file): https://support.apple.com/guid...
Copy vcf to Android: WIndows/PC Android just connect USB and Windows will show the filesystem under Portable Devices (copy); Mac copy vcf to memory card (FAT32?) feed memory card to Android phone
Android can/will import contacts from vcf

Other options/opinions/thoughts?
(Android to Android? I know that it is a breeze between 2 Samsung phones.)

Comment Re:I hate forced sync (Score 2) 99

"The only option I could find . . ."? I hope that you are joking. There are and have been MANY tools to do this without any cloud(s). Heck, even iTunes had a way.
I have personally used the iMobie products: AnyTrans (iPhone & Windows) and AnyDroid (Android & Windows).
I am not saying that the processes are perfect, but the tools exist.
