You would have to scan its face every time it sits behind the computer, and continuously because how do you know it is still sitting there after 5 minutes. The real question is: why would Google show ads that are not appropriate to the clips that are being watched. If you are showing a kid's cartoon, you do not show adult ads. Then still you have the question: how do you know you child is only watching children's content? Is he logged in with his own account? Then I question why there are adult ads at all.
But none of this has anything to do with having your child's face scanned to generate some kind of database.
