Note that the 2024 start is about .45C above 2023, which itself was a runaway record year (the sort where the scale on the graph is adjusted).

The ocean is where all of the excess heat ends up. It really heated up last year, and didn't let up.

There's a lot of opportunity in passthrough, in my opinion. Specially around allowing for larger spaces.

Here's a video where all of the objects created are relative to the floor and where you are located (the grass only grows where the headset goes).

The concept was for controllerless interaction, with various worlds (before stopping on the project I had fire and ice worlds along with the nature one).

No market for it. And AI came along and that's far more interesting (and financially viable).

There's another video beside that one that goes over the mechanics I was using.

But for time.

This is a simple and expected dynamic of population increases.

There are more people, so more rich people.

There are only so many waterfront cottages, and rich people like them.

Therefore, the rich will own all of the waterfront cottages.

This also explains the traffic.

It's just the world we live in. Our children won't remember the waterfront cottage visits, they will have other memories.

I'm not sure what the goals would be here, other than to say: yes, other other models are correct.

I was hoping they were using AI to identify areas that are at risk due to climate change, but they don't need AI for that. It's not difficult to predict annual flooding (oh look, it's getting worse every year!).

I wonder how much data they are passing around the properties of base or simpler structures that they are creating. Emergent, interesting properties (conductivity, magnetic, etc.).

Analyzing the "evolution" from simple stable materials to more complex would be very interesting. I know little of material science, but am up on organic evolution.

Fascinating stuff.

If you have pay for ChatGPT, use GPT4 with this prompt:

Using the internet, writing in an old school western fashion, as a fan of the Chiefs, write an article about the Nov 26, 2023 game between the KC Chiefs and the Raiders.

It searched 3-4 websites before returning the article below. And the persona is interesting (and could be much deeper in context, this is about the simplest example for the flair).

This probably breaks NFL copyright about the descriptions and such (thoughts anyone?). Better than decent sports copy in my opinion (I'm not an editor, but it's fun to read).

Tales from the Gridiron Frontier: Chiefs vs Raiders

On the 26th of November, 2023, a tale unfolded in the wild, dusty plains of the NFL, where the Kansas City Chiefs, led by the sharp-shooting Patrick Mahomes, rode into the Las Vegas Raiders' territory. The day began with the Raiders striking fast and hard, putting up 14 points quicker than a gunslinger's draw. But the Chiefs, not ones to shy away from a challenge, mounted a remarkable comeback.

Mahomes, with his arm as steady and deadly as a marksman's, slung passes totaling 298 yards, hitting his targets with precision. Isiah Pacheco, the fleet-footed back, charged through the Raiders' line like a runaway stagecoach, notching two scores.

The Chiefs, trailing at first, roared back with 21 unanswered points, swinging the balance like a saloon brawl turned on its head. The Raiders, though spirited, managed only a field goal in their bid to close the gap. But it was to no avail, as the Chiefs responded with another thundering score.

When the dust settled, the scoreboard read 31-17 in favor of the Chiefs, marking another chapter in their saga of dominance over the Raiders. Mahomes stood tall, like a sheriff who'd just rid the town of outlaws, and the Chiefs rode off into the sunset, their legacy in this storied rivalry further burnished.

Thus ended another chapter in the annals of the NFL, with the Chiefs emerging as the lawmen of the day, leaving the Raiders to lick their wounds and prepare for the next high noon showdown.
