This is what I don't get, how on earth did anyone even get in the building? This was a tragic domino effect of poor decision making...
Like the combustion engine and the automobile (which also hasn't really changed much in 100 years other than "refinements"), there are only so many things you can do after a certain amount of time that hasn't already been done or is a revisit on an older idea.
Sometimes an idea is good but all the pieces needed for success isn't there yet, sometimes there just isn't any public interest for whatever reason or the talent just doesn't exist. Maybe the idea was bought and shelved only to resurface after the patent has finally expired.
Unix/Linux get a life....
...I've ran into way more problems they I would like to admit the last 3 years dealing with a stuborn linux admin that has insists on using centos in lue of RH like our production environments because he doesn't want to bother to register for the "free" developers edition.
He's messed up just about every package install that has been requested of him for our RH environments..its gotten to the point I don't even bother asking, I put the request in for myself to do it, and I am the software admin.
Its amazing...a 52 year old man with almost 35 years of linux build experience and he couldn't stand up a LAMP server using the RH streams, there where about 3 different php installations on the box to boot (because he also didn't bother to learn how collections work either).
Makes me wonder, are most of these people bots and trolls or are all these self proclaimed open minded people *really* this binary and one sided?
I would like to submit a piece of advice to any who will listen: completely detach from all social media. You are being manipulated and your personality is being altered to suite multiple agenda's. This applies to all "sides".
Used to consider myself a pretty progressive liberal...but the last 4 years has convinced me nuance has been lost in discussion from the side I used to consider the "intellectual's".
I keep seeing the same stupid trigger words trotted out the second a red or orange flag is raised, and its almost always the same dumb one sided single sentence statements that has almost no context to he conversation...almost like a bot is involved...you think?
I would also like to impart one additional nugget of advice, if you wish to keep your soul, the ends never justify the means...and I am seeing a lot of that this year...quite honestly its made be go back to reading the Dune series just seeing all the social manipulation going on. Its really quite a thing if you can take a step back and see it for what it is.
Oh no, people melt their own bars all the time and sell them, pawn shops do it for junk jewelry to separate the precious metals. Its way easier to sell a bar of solid gold than junk rings or coins in the gram/oz levels online for people wanting gold just for savings....but yea obviously if you have millions worth even online you will raise enough suspicions if you tried to sell immediately.
Throwing ethics aside, if I was just interested in dodging paying tax because it was millions worth....I would probably liquidate everything I could to prepare and buy a ocean worthy boat to smuggle myself out of the country....then off to buy my own island somewhere tropical to be self sufficient. I'll pay for friends and relatives to visit....
I think the op had in mind something like a cache of Krugerrand's or something else modern.
Personally I would tell the person that owned the land just to be on the safe side it wasn't some great grand parents long lost buried savings or something, but I can see someone just melting it down if it looked worthless otherwise and pocketing all the spot value.
I've had it at least 3 times this year...you get the sniffles and a case of the squirts for a few days, its not a life ender for 99% of the people that get it. Buy a freaking towel or something....
Who destroyed who's life? Your AI needs more training....
I've already been canceled by this system and how it works, I've been disabled since 20. No color coded divisions necessary!
I didn't like Trump but he at least seemed alive, Bidden sounds like a full on monotone establishment idiot (because 40+ years of pandering to the crowd says all it needs to...almost super predator like in a way really...).
One of the upsides to being in America is the fact that you have states that have very different means of governance and a choice to move to one if you want to or the other (no papers, no hoops, you just move).
If you want more government you go to California or NC, if you want less you go to Texas or Alaska. Its not all bad having choices...just don't turn the place you moved to into the same place you where ejecting yourself from...
Well that must have been awkward...I read that they didn't tell him what was going to happen and wanted his genuine surprised response. I'll have to look for a hard copy since its getting so hard to find.
Sort of strange they can't just cut that scene a little short, its not like we need to know what happened any further with a properly placed cut.
Good luck finding The Name of the rose in North America to purchase (or even rent digitally), I've found it on windows rentals but no purchase available. Apparently I read its about that love scene with the girl and Slater, Slater was under 18 when he filmed that, so most places wont carry it.
I agree though, to me its one of his top 5 movies.
"Spock, did you see the looks on their faces?" "Yes, Captain, a sort of vacant contentment."
