It's not just ugly, it's confusing too. I couldn't work out how to post a new comment, so I'm posting a reply to yours. I don't especially care though if they end up going ahead with this redesign. It'd be quite interesting to see what would happen to the site. Maybe most of the users would quit or something. I'm curious about it.
