Well, fuck you too then.

Do you feel better now?

This is Slashdot, of course I didn't read the article and no idea what the journals credibility is either.

Why does this remind me of so many cold fusion stories I've seen?

Who'd want to hear all the moronic comments via speech synthesis on YouTube? The 14 year old rabble dominates nearly every video.

It wasn't a question. You are just spamming the thread with the same post at this point. But I guess if that gives you your jollys...

Supposedly Irvine actually has a higher number of tech companies in it than Silicon Valley, but that may be a local urban legend. Either way, I wish people would move out.

As for there being "nothing to do," I'm not sure where you get that notion; we get the same movies/music/etc as everywhere else... Plus, unlike Cali, we get to play with guns and 4x4's pretty much unfettered.
Have you ever been to California? The desert here is pretty much full of guns and 4x4's. Heck I live in the middle of Orange County and can get off road in 15 minutes. Ever skied and surfed in the same day? Not gonna happen in Hicksville.

Give it a rest already.

I really liked the fact that the movies were long and they didn't try to wrap it up in 90 minutes or two hours. Actually they could have gone longer as far as I'm concerned. I'm crossing my fingers that the Hobbit will be of the same quality and then one day I'll have to watch them all in a 15 hour+ marathon.

+1 - I would love to hear the conversation when they found it.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I get tired of talking and really don't want to talk to a machine like Siri if I'm going to be flapping my gums. In addition every time I see someone doing that with some voice recognition thing, I think they just look like a sad version of some space commander talking to his ship. But in this episode/movie it fails and has been failing for quite some time. Wasn't Dragon Naturally Speaking around in the 80's as well? And has it really seen that much improvement? 800 number IVRs still suck.

True, but don't you think people will eventually get bored of Fruit Ninja or whatever?
