I went to the same school (Masters as well) and I usually did coursework in groups as it was easier for other people to learn by doing problems together. I wasn't a computer science person, but a computer engineering grad. Less programming.

By the way, Stevens doesn't give engineering degrees anymore! I'm glad I got one (BEng, MEng). Class of 2005 (BEng) and 2006 (MEng). How about you?

You don't need term limits if our citizens would stop voting in the same bad people. It is as simple as that. I live in NJ and we finally elected a new governor that wasn't the incumbent. Term limits aren't the answer. Getting more people involved and respecting how and why our system works is the answer. And no, there should never be a "career politician."

Not at all. With /home on its own partition, settings will migrate over (personal settings, not system (/etc)). I've done this a bunch of times and it works fine. Lately I've been going the upgrade routine, but sometimes it is just easier to clean install off a CD rather than waiting x hours for the damn updates to download and install.

I am (mostly) a Libertarian.

The market didn't prove itself incapable of doing anything itself. If you remember, Bush "saved" the banks from going under. Obama continues the push to "save" companies that are "to big to fail."

The market would have easily taken care of the situation by FORCING those companies to enter bankruptcy or just failing outright and going away. Once the government stepped in, it wasn't free market doing anything.

So no, the market would have worked (in making those companies FAIL). The government stopped it from working. Why the government rewards failure is the question you should be asking.

You mean stenanography. The GP is using a watermark (watermarks are imprinted in a medium to determine where something came from). A watermark can be easily visible without hiding information. In fact, most sites use watermarks in images to prevent hotlinking and taking credit for the image.
