How Much Nitrogen Is Too Much For Corn?

Following a four-year study, North Carolina researchers report that a test accurately predicts nitrogen concentrations in humid soils. Researchers hope that this test will help to reduce under- and over-applying nitrogen fertilizer to corn crops, which can be harmful to the environment and costly to growers.
