Comment I don't know what ATT saw in Directv (Score 1) 103

Directv was dying before they began negotiations.
DTV had already begun the less content for more money path, and was alienating customers on a wholesale basis.

So what was the carrot? I can't believe the bean counters were wearing blinders.
They can be counting on morphing it into something else as that will certainly cause more bleeding.
What did they spend all that money on?
Kudo's to DirecTV for pulling off a Bill Gates style epic shyster move unloading a turd in exchange for gold.

I was a customer only because of the channel package offered, I am a motorsports junkie and Directv had it all.
I have not been able to replace the content that was available, but I was not willing to pay that stupid high subscription.
They priced themselves right out of business.
Sling is not the answer adding Netflix and Prime still leaves me wanting. I'll drop Sling like a hot rock when I find something better.
Directv had good hardware at least.

Due to the virus BS, Motorsports has taken a big hit and may never return, due to the enforced lifestyle changes.
Maybe it's for the better and I will find other entertainment, something that has a return like fishing or hunting.

Upside is the TV is now not on all the time, in fact I don't turn it on hardly at all outside of using it for a nightlight!
I need something to drown out the voices in my head so I can get to sleep.....

For Zoom.

Someone should be prosecuted for this company's blatant disregard for privacy and security.

The things this software has done are so outrageous, they have to be on purpose.

No one could be that stupid, especially considering the multiple avenues of privacy violations.
And fraudulent encryption claims.....

I'll bet most of his crew were prisoners, and they expected to have to thin the herd. (Just playing a numbers game)
Heck they probably tossed a couple over the side as soon as they lost sight of land just to set the tone.
Some down and outta luck cases, and those that wanted to escape something and didn't care where they landed.
The rest were trusted hard cases that kept the prisoners in line.
And a few committed Officers to share the deck duty.
All given promise of riches when they return.

How much Facebook paid Zoom to include that bit of code.

It certainly was not a "favor" to the users. Someone got paid....

There are many sites that allow/want to use other sites logins. I have never used them because my conspiracy theory thinking doesn't want to give them the connections.

Privacy is an illusion anymore, but that doesn't mean you should drop your pants....

And the same company having anything to do with healthcare can never be a good thing, this is the Fox counting the Chickens.
I'm sure Zoom has the same privacy statement in place for the healthcare version, they pinky swear to protect your privacy....
Speaking of which, has there ever been a prosecution of any of the parties for healthcare related data exposure? I doubt it.

Yeah right, what are they going to do? Pinky swear?
No doubt there will be some stern talk and somber promises.
But we are talking about a whole lot of value in that data.

Remember when one corporation claimed it would do no evil? Now look where we are at.
