The touch screen console is one of the things that works well. The two main problems are the door handles and the main drive motor.
Bingo. We have a winner! Artificial limits on cabs serve nobody but the cab companies.
There are plenty of good electric bikes out now. We need that light truck.
Nope. Lead batteries would break down under the proposed Tesla battery usage in less hen 5 years and they cost more to install and maintain.
You need to learn to read financial reports. Tesla indeed makes a unit profit on their cars even without the government incentives. They are just spending a ton developing two new cars (X,3) and building one of the largest factories ever built.
Correct, but it does provide battery backup during power outages and the net cost after 5 years is in the $3000 range. A good generator with auto-switchover can cost that with installation and it makes a whole lot more noise. Also the battery should last more then 10 years though with less capacity then when it was new.
By 2030 Elon and SpaceX may have already landed people on the surface. Maybe not a huge settlement or anything, but an outpost. Going all the way without landing is kinda silly.
How would that work for Apple? They are pretty good at figuring out how to make the most profit on their phones. Gaining more market share at the expense of profit makes no sense.
Most people will be attempting to trade in phones with almost no value. The people who buy high end Android phones are Android fans and are going to be unlikely to trade for an iPhone. The vast majority of the Android phones sold are low priced and drop to less then $50 trade in value within two years, the time that they would be traded in. An iPhone that is bought new is typically worth 3-5x that at the two year point. The 2.5 year old iPhone 5 still sells for $200 on eBay in good condition.
Want something for free? Buy a large item like a vintage stereo, then file a case against the seller. The seller has to pay return shipping so they are out shipping both ways. 50/50 you will get a refund and get to keep it. Otherwise you send it back and pay nothing for the 'attempt'.
Really. Why everyone thinks the 747's days are numbered I don't know. She has at least 10 years of production left with few changes required. They could even do a 747-9 in a decade even more optimized for air freight.
The 777-x would make a great lower cost Airforce 1. Still, for all the wrong reasons and a few right ones, I am glad to see that the 747-8 was picked. The 747 is simply the best looking current production passenger jet in the sky.
There are huge differences. The engines. The avionics. The interior. Even the wing.
They are not even close to stopping production of the 747. With the new 747-8 she has more then a decade of production left in her. Who knows, they may even do a -900 model in ten years.
