I am in Alaska. No sales tax in Anchorage (some towns have it). But then you would have to live in 9 months of dark/cold with 12 months of lotek. And there is the Alaska tax. That's either stores selling something for more then it is on Amazon even with next day shipping or the straight shipping fees from companies that do not have good shipping contracts. (I got a Smittybuilt bumper from Amazon with free 2nd day shipping, but if I order an ARB bumper from a offroad supply company shipping is $400). On the flip we get a dividend from the state based on oil revenue. (last year was about $900 per resident)

Yes thanks to Monsanto we have pesticide PROOF ragweed. Yes, thats right. Cross pollen and interbreeding from a GMO similar species used for an industrial property gives us a indestructible allergin thousands of miles away. They are putting antibiotics for humans into the genes of plants and genes from animals so when you eat the rice or whatever you get the antibiotic (its for famine ridden places) or other benefit. Oh yeah, they don't always need to mention it's GMO, even if its in food stuffs at WalMart. Thanks FDA, what was your job again? Oh I remember, its so you can get a lobbying job at a food maker when you leave.

Monsanto modle in effect. Check your neighbors crops, find your patented genes, sue and WIN. They do it, they do it. Monsanto is indirectly [sic] responsible for the loss of many natural species of at least rice and possibly others (I lack the knowledge to make a definitive statement). Selling seed that does not propagate is not in the best interest of the planet (though possibly in the best interests of those geeks that favor the dark scifi future and is defiantly in the interests of the corporation.)

Perhaps these alt currencies are usable in large population centers where other users may be around, but I live far off the beaten path. I do not think they are worthless to you, but they are to me. Even right now. If you want to use my services please convert your Bitcoins to USD or gold first. People still build PC's? There's and archaic art form. Alt Currency is just that. It may work for some people in a non formal agreement of value, but otherwise it is worthless. Unless there is a convent way to transfer it, it will remain worthless. Just like casino coins from Vegas would have little more then curio value in Malindi, Kenya (unlike the US dollar or Euro which you can buy food or lodging with) (bonus tip- go to the last resort North of town past the bend in the road, about 2 km, there are bungalows on the beach and a pool if you don't want to swim in shark infested waters). If you can't buy food or gas with it at the corner station it's not money.

A lot of commensurate about why the police kicked in the door with guns out. This is called a no knock warrant. It is used when the police or DA thinks the person is dangerous (threat) or they may destroy evidence if given time. The name calling was just an added extra baised on the charges on the warrant. Personal note A) secured next to my bed is a slip-on NIJ IIIa chest plate with my FNH Five-seveN and 2 extra magazines. (there are a lot of home invasions in my area -+6-10 a year) Note B) I fear a no knock warrant more then a home invasion as I will start shooting if my door is kicked in, and when the police are involved I will lose (I have no reason to think I will ever be served with a warrant of any kind, but neither did the guy in the story)
