Bitcoin Drops Almost 30 Percent To Under $5,800 (forbes.com) 99

Draconi writes: The price of Bitcoin dropped from it's March 6th, 2020 high of $9,126 to under $5,800 today as market sell-offs accelerated with the S&P and Dow Jones dropping 7% in early hours trading. Bitcoin, long considered to be a safe-haven during times of economic stress, currently costs at least $4,313 in electricity per coin to generate. The latest drop has wiped out all 2020 gains for Bitcoin and sent a ripple effect across other cryptocurrencies, with Ethereum down nearly 35%. While the bitcoin price has recovered slightly to around $6,000, the 24-hour low was $5,721 per bitcoin from just under $8,000 yesterday. Forbes notes that the bitcoin and cryptocurrency market as a whole "is now down a staggering $100 billion in the last seven days -- and has wiped out its year-to-date gains after starting the year at around $7,000 per bitcoin."

"Previously seen as a possible safe haven in difficult times, investors now seem to be selling out to take back liquidity in case the coronavirus spreads even further," said Simon Peters, analyst and crypto expert at multi-asset investment platform, eToro. Bitcoin's crash was also a result of oil cartel Opec's failure to agree to a supply cut last weekend, sending the oil price to historic lows.

You might think that is a little shady and it might be if manufactures are required to sign the compatibility commitment in order to use android although you can't have it both ways either android apps are universally compatible or they aren't. Take your pick because google already did, the other option is that there bunch of flavors of android and apps have to target each fork to be compatible.

Amazon clearly states that Fire OS is a fork of android and that your android apps may be compatible or require a small amount of changes, they even give you a way to test compatibility.

My question as it always has been is what happens when encryption is weakened and fraud and identity theft rises to an all time high? How are they going to handle that?

The FBI investigates fraud, and those fraud investigators probably think their co-worker have lost their minds every time the FBI is involved in yet another story about how encryption is bad. I can see them yelling over a pile of 3 million plus fraud reports a year "Are you stoned? I'm never going to get through all these reports!"

I was arrested when I was 16 because I looked almost like this other kids twin and they had a photo even I had to admit we looked alike. They didn't release me until after they where able to identify me, when my mother showed up ready to go to war.

Then again white male average height, average weight/build, brown eyes, brown hair, common haircut, blue jeans, t-shirt, no tattoos, scars, or distinguishing features.... I have no idea how they find people by descriptions.

Depends on the state but anything in your vehicle is already in your possession so basically the police transferred possession of the item to him when they left it in the vehicle so not theft. They could have transferred drugs to his possession by leaving them in his car and that would have been entrapment but good luck proving it.
