Comment Re:Did she get her assigned work done? (Score 1) 167

In the summary, it says "it installed employee-tracking software called TimeCampon Besse's work laptop after it found her assigned files were over budget and behind schedule" so is seems like she wasn't getting her work done? It's entirely possible that the scheduling and budget were wrong, but then that should be a company wide issue, no?
IMO, it seems like a situation where an employee was not getting the work done (with respect to schedule and budget) assigned, they investigated and found that she was not doing what she said she was (which was most likely the reason for missing deadlines, allocation)

Did you even watch Wolf of Wall Street? People who smoke a joint get way harsher punishments than people who destroy hundreds of people's lives (by stealing their savings). Even when they do go to jail... It's like living at a resort.

Ethan Couch (affluenza kid) killed four people. Went to a "facility" with daily horse rides. The punishment should be inversely proportional to the amount of money you have as it is now.

I truly believe that they need to focus on retention. There are ways of doing that are overtly hostile and actually better for your consumer. For instance, they should stop putting their original stuff out all at once. All the other streaming services put out week by week... The audience will end up thanking you for it. I can't remember what happen a year ago in Ozark. I had completely forgotten about it until it showed up in my recommendations. I've heard tons of people say "there's nothing good to watch on netflix" and the "oh! Stranger Things! I love that show"

You can't have discussions with people about a season... people discuss episodes and then try to figure out what's going to happen next week. Binging is fine, but you enjoy a tv show over time.

It’s important to note (and I haven’t seen it put this way anywhere) that this situation wasn’t caused by redditors. It was caused by hedge funds over-shorting GameStop and other companies. They created the opportunity and now when “regular” people take advantage of the opportunity, they turn it off to protect the people who have been doing the same shit for decades and getting rich shorting companies into oblivion.

Here's the thing about COVID-19 (and with many other diseases)... nobody actually dies of it. It causes issues that in turn kills the patient. WIth coronavirus, it's usually pneumonia, respiratory failure, some kind of myocardial issue, etc. That's why you hear a lot of people yelling about "my _____ had heart disease and died but they ruled it as coronavirus! It's all a conspiracy!" Yes, your _____ died of a heart complication due to covid-19, that's why it was ruled a covid death.

It's like HIV... nobody has actually ever died of HIV... they died of AIDS (caused by HIV) complications.

The Simpsons is the number one reason that Disney paid $71 billion for the company and it's the number one reason I'm subscribing (the other stuff doesn't hurt either).
