Dumping tickets aside, what about for memorabilia sake? Growing up I sure kept every ticket stub I had since it was the only memorabilia I could afford and I was never lucky enough to snag a pick/drum stick/shirt/etc. I've also had a problem of buying tickets for a group and having 1 or more people back out last minute -- it seems silly to waste seats to a good show, so I've always ended up just giving them away to anybody who will take them.

For those of you complaining about this, please note that it was "per the ToS". Don't like it? Don't use the (Android) software, then. It's a free market -- vote with your money elsewhere. Until this remote nuke feature is used on something I've PAID for, and I'm left without my app or my money, I'm not too bothered by it as, again, I AGREED TO THE TOS.

Vista and Win 7 both worked out of the box with zero issues for me; Win 7 even on my 2006 laptop (which it detected the brand/model correctly, to boot). No problems with my Linux Samba shares at all -- looks like user error on your part.

Then you take http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenBIOS and write your own. I'm serious, people like to complain that features aren't supported when the only thing stopping them is there own faith. Sure you can do ALOT of damage but just be careful and test it in a VM first. I've written several bios firmwares for my current MOBO and they all out preform the stock.

Comments like this are what turn a lot of people off from Linux. "Oh you don't like xyz? Go write it yourself." We're not all xyz devs (or devs at all, in most instances).

An Associates degree is already worthless; it says "I went to college, but dropped out after it got too hard."

Mine says "I spent 6 years active duty in the military. I learned a solid trade and spent the extra time to get the paper to back it up."

My work experience helped me get my current job far more than any education; the A.A.S. was just a kicker for extra money.

Comment TXU in Texas (Score 1) 393

TXU rolled this out in Texas when I lived there starting in 2008 or early 2009. You got a free programmable thermostat that connected to a ZigBee adapter which plugged into your LAN/router someplace.

They would cycle 15 on/15 off at peak as needed, but you were able to override at any time and manage everything online so you could even turn the A/C on/off remotely from work, a hotel, etc, if you forgot to.

Never had any problems, and the thermostat was much nicer than the old (nearly) broken one that came with the home.
