Reference please about the de-orbiting after the satellite goes dark (after the 5 year lifetime). I thought the problem was that the decay period to make re-entry from the orbit they are in is around 35 years. So after 10 years or so there will be more dead satellites than active ones in orbit. They have license to send 12K or 13K and they are asking permit to have ~35K active satellites. Space is big but there may be enough debris in LEO in 20 to 30 years that nobody can safely get out of LEO.

That is the question i keep asking:
when Tesla is mentioned ...do you know any name other than Elno's name ?
When you hear spaceX ...do we know anynody driving the reuse rocket success..I keep hearing it is all Elno's doing
When you hear Starlink again who manages all the tech for satellite switching etc..only Elno's name
So it won't be different here.
But then the same genius takes Twatter and made it as great as Gab or Parler in less than a year... Go figure how this genius who made electric cars, designed cheap rockets and low earth satellites etc...can't make money from a glorified blogging website with lots of advertisement.

If they make 4 or 5 times the average pay of the company then it is capitalism
if they make 100 to 1000 then it is slavery.
so lets bring back slavery as it will be good for the consumers and restaurants

You have to redistribute the open source part to who ever you are distributing under opensource licenses (e.g GPL etc)...Then if i buy one of their licenses i get the code and i am free to redistribute everything which is under opensource licenses right ?
So all they want is that extra few hundred dollars per year for 1 license which AlmaLinux, RockyLinux etc can share all opensource codes. What a doofus.

This is the whole point of opensource you IBM dingo...you redistribute with or *without* any value added . Value is in the eye of the beholder.

Indeed Apple is the leader in the US mainly and not much elsewhere...
and yet yo get a new model every year.

Similarly Chinese and Korean EVs are kicking ass on the world market right now...
The Kia EV6 will charge from 20% to 80% in 18 mins on fast charger....nothing to sneeze at.
In Europe you see more Peugeot and Renault EVs now and Volkswagen is gearing up with the bus ...which will have a high demand in the US with right price and fast charger capability.
Tesla had its time....no new model year in and year out is not going to get you anywhere unless you lock the market...which they had till last year in the US.....Ford and GM are slowly ramping and I am sure Kia, Toyota, VW, Nissan etc will start assembling in the US to get the 7500 fed tax rebate.

There is that much appeal for model S, 3, X, and Y
