Whats to say the buyer didn't already open, switch it, reseal then film to open it?
I refuse to buy anything on Amazon unless it's sold directly by Amazon. I order stuff monthly for years and have yet to have an issue.
You don't need to tell it to stop charging at 85%, Pixels support adaptive charging already. I plug mine in at night and it tells me adaptive charging is on and it will be full by 6am. There is no problem with charging a phone to full when it's done slowly. Why people think we're stuck 10 years ago in battery technology is beyond me.
But it already has adaptative charging so why are you using a timer? I have a Pixel 4a and when I plug it in at it directly tells me adaptative charging is on and that it will trickle charge to full by 6am (my alarm time).
I drive a Prius. My average speed to and from work is 21mph. While I enjoy a fast 0-40 in power mode, 99% of the time if I accelerate fast I'd hit the car in front of me.
I think a lot of people, myself included, are waiting for the next generation of solid state batteries to hit. 400+ mile range, lasts the life of the car, can't catch fire and charges in 10 minutes. Toyota may be first to market with these.
Because of scholarships - at least for now. The college my son is applying to this year gives automatic scholarships based on ACT/SAT score. He took both SAT and ACT twice to get the best score he could, as well as a prep class.
Depends where you look I think. In the US, we have more trees than 100 years ago. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) states that forest growth in the country has surpassed harvest since the 1930s. By 1998, tree growth exceeded harvest by 43% and the forest cover was 380% more than it had been in the 1920s. So here, it's the exact opposite. If you went back over 100 years the US would look very different and not nearly as colorful. Quite bleary in fact. You know what loves C02? Trees.
Years ago I got stuck with an obese person sitting next to me, he 'spilled' into my seat. I spent 6 hours crammed against the window. When I got off I had a large oval bruise on my leg that took almost a week to go away. Never again. I now travel with a legal size clipboard in my backpack. If this happens again it's getting jammed in-between the seats and the armrest will remain down. I'm 5'8" 198lbs and have no problem with the seat sizes and primarily fly United and always book isle or window (perferred).
already tried this. How did that work out?
I bought a Pixel 4a as soon as it came out, still working just fine with no issues. Got a software update last night.
Ancient tech. We have Rosie 2.0, she has a base station that she empties herself into. But we named ours 'Wall-E.'
2 new coal plants permitted every WEEK last year alone, with no signs of slowing down. If the US suddenly switched to every single vehicle on the road to electric this year China's increase in C02 would overtake the savings in under 2 years.
The app, while barely functional, works to get an order in. It's the filling of the order that needs to be completely automated still from cooking to delivery at the window. Two McDs I frequent have about a 50/50 shot at getting my order right. No mustard on the burger, regular tea instead of sweet, large fries actually filled correctly for a large size. It's coming, just not soon enough.
The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not "Eureka!" (I found it!) but "That's funny ..." -- Isaac Asimov
