There's no net energy in hydrogen. Most of it comes from natural gas... just burn the natural gas. Make it from electricity? Just use the electricity directly. That's not even getting into how hard it is to handle and store hydrogen. Only Biden and California are stupid enough to push hydrogen as a fuel.

Agreed, I find this 40% statistic unbelievable. The only way it makes sense is if the author is including programmable thermostats also. Also, most people get up around the same times for school or work and that drives heating/cooling demands. It has little to do with the thermostats.
