Apparently it's the only way to make a living these days, scam everyone else."

I tried to update from 9.4 to 9.10 but after 5 hours the update stopped responding, in fact the whole PC froze. I had to hard boot the PC, and the update was not complete the entire install was hosed. Luckily this was just a test system and I didn't lose any thing important, but if it was my main system I would have been rather upset. I have gotten into the habit of backing up all of my personal files to a removable drive when I do these upgrades just in case

rhettb writes "Three different species of frogs have been discovered living in the dung of the Asian elephant in southeastern Sri Lanka. The discovery — the first time anyone has recorded frogs living in elephant droppings — has widespread conservation implications both for frogs and Asian elephants, which are in decline. Apparently the frogs feed on the many invertebrates present in elephant dung."

I think the point is the length of the copyright. I agree that copyright is needed to protect peoples ideas and inventions, but after the creator/inventor is dead should the copyright still be in place? I believe the point was the length of the copyright, not copyright itself.

An anonymous reader writes: Evidently there is a large hole in security at google. Gmail accounts that have similar names will copy each other on messages sent to one address. I have an address that goes firstname.lastname@gmail.com and someone else has firstnamelastname@gmail.com and I constantly recieve this other users messages. After making multiple attempts to contact google via the web based support submission system, nothing has changed with the accounts activities. Maybe this is isolated to my account and maybe not. In either case it represents a huge potential problem with the way gmail handles itself.

Not only that, but they are witholding monies already earned by his ads prior to the accusation.

"In that mail, they did not even tell me any information about their problem with my ads, only "invalid clicks or page impressions". No IP adresses, no channel ID, no website, no time or date, no amount of clicks, nothing. No way for me to find out what was wrong. There was the possibility to contradict, and I tried to explain some possible causes like the sudden increased amount of traffic, but they ignored me. The interesting thing: They now even won't pay out the money I already earned before the occurance of their 'invalid clicks' assert. "
