Comment Re:Is Stadia still around (Score 1) 24

You can play Destiny 2, Superbomber Man R and Crayta for free on Stadia. No purchase or subscription required. Just play in a browser and go.

I don't see Rocket League or many other free titles of that quality making it to Stadia because they or their publisher don't want to work with Google. Rocket League for example is published by Epic and likely want to bypass the Stadia store.

The old way just doesn't work. So we need to make sure that the online playground for children are more safe, because they may not be anyone watching them.

The old way works just fine.

I'm 48 with 3 kids. Wen I was 7 or so, I used to go over to my neighour to watch WWF as my folks didn't have Sky.
And when their Mother was away, Texas Chainsaw masacre dvd/beta max went on.

1) the playground is what kids make it, internet or no.
2) No sir, as a Beaver Leader (6-8 year old scouts) I discipline other kids just fine. Smacking no, but discipline can be verbal and demonstrative too.
It's rare they cross the line a second time.
3) So? We aren't the 24/7 state police.

We don't need to make the online playground more safe.
What we need to do is teach the children how to play safely - like say looking both ways before crossing the street.

We dont have zonal heating in our old houses much and a retro fit would be too pricey.
Google don't even sell remote sensors in the UK for use with a non smart TRV.

So it's unless you really want a sexy self learning thermostat that just turns the whole house on or off then it's for you.

But if you want smart zonal heating, go Hive for their smart TRVs and lightwave to control the lighting as that suits how UK houses are wired.

Maybe your experience is different from mine. I love using my smartphone to browse what to watch. One can watch like say a child whilst you browse for something to watch later without interrupting their program.

Of course this does depend on the app and here is where Netflix really shines. Prime recently opened up on Chromecast as well but isn't quite so nice to use, but it's still better than their PS4 interface or TV stick.

In you only consider Intel, I agree.
Luckily, AMD with Ryzen begs to differ.

I bought in with an i4670k oc'ed at 4.2Ghz. That's a 5 y old CPU with 4 cores and 4 hw threads that cost me almost £300 from memory.
Today I could buy an AMD 2700x for £300 which clocks higher and comes with 8 cores and 16 hw threads.
So assuming that software can max the cores I can get x4 the performance at the same price point.

I'm holding our for AMD Zen2, which is slated for 7nm (the topic of this discussion).
