I wonder if you removed the word religious from that sentence above if it still holds true? "If you disparage someone for their beliefs, you are a bigot." What makes religious beliefs so much different than any other kind of belief that it deserves this kind of protection? It seems that whenever anyone complains about the attacks on religious beliefs what they are really saying is that "If you disparage MY religious beliefs, you are a bigot." But if you want to give Mormons, or Christian Scientists, or Rastafarians a hard time, by all means.
I use Glacier and its great. 20 TB is about $200 a month which to me does not seem like all that much money for backing up that much data. The biggest problem from a home users perspective is getting all of that data to Amazon. Hopefully he lives somewhere where fiber is available to his house.

This only works if you believe that children and teenagers can adequately appreciate the consequences of their actions well enough not to throw the phone across the table regardless of who bought it. I would argue that by their very definition teenagers can not adequately appreciate the consequences of their actions.

As a general rule though this is not a problem. I don't think we necessarily want or need everyone to be a leader. As long as enough people are successful to lead those that aren't we are still good to go.
I don't understand why people feel that of all the things that the government does this one should be a money maker. It is not a requirement of mine that government services break even or make money. That's why I pay taxes. That's not to say that they should not be more efficient of innovative but they provide a valuable service that I am willing to subsidize with my taxes.

In my years on Slashdot I have not noticed the developers of Wine being vilified in even remotely the same way as de Icaza, despite the obvious parallels.
Mod spire up. I did this same setup and and the speed was so slow it was unusable. Time Machine would just crap out after a long long while.

Enjoy the variety, computer UI's are still so young as a technology and evolving rapidly.
It seems to me that his claim that the US government has some kind of direct access to FB is totally unsubstantiated. Show me the evidence that this is the case and then I may be concerned.
If the Post Office had done this 10 years ago it might still have a chance of staying in business.
