Can you give a source for this? What are you talking about? I don't understand where all this hate is coming from.. they proposed a change to an open source toolchain. They openly describe what they want.. if it is implemented you can literally see exactly how it works... How can you say because of those actions they are not honest people?

It's not like they want to exploit some technically illiterate end users to spy on their every action.. it's literally developers who can be expected to know how things work and could even look exactly at the code to see what is sent..
I can only imagine if you get what you want.. command line tools which are a mess like the web nowadays.. every command pops up a 20 options configuration panel where you have to choose what might be saved or transmitted and every option limits the functionality of the command by some amount...

He is not saying that you have to spend that money for those features.. but that people would be willing to spend that kind of money BECAUSE they are using their phones literally constantly.. if you are always using a single device you are more likely to spend a few more bucks on it, so it feels solid with a great build quality and a thought through designs.. instead of some plastic toy which lags on every scroll..
Granted, there are marginal gains between a 500 and 1500 usd device nowadays.. but if you use it every waking moment it might still be worth it for some people ...

There is a limit on the number of Bitcoin, but it can be split up an infinite number of times.
It is currently limited to 1/100 000 000 (1 satoshi).. but this could be changed as well..
So no matter how much one Bitcoin is worth, you can still use it.. you just don't buy a full Bitcoin, but 1 satoshi worth of Bitcoin..

imho this is only true for beta consumer apps. Not technologies they are also using internally. They have been maintaining GWT for way longer than any sane person round have considered using it..

Fwiw, dart is already 11 years old and instead of killing it and developing something from scratch they painstakingly developed a migration path and lots of tools to migrate from the new nnbd type system. I've migrated quite a bit of code, certainly not easy.. but considering the paradigm shift from the first dart version of optionally typed to a strong type system with nnbd this is pretty impressive..

What would be more helpful might be for the AI to suggest a refractor to get rid of the repetitive code in the first place. Although no ai required... Intellij already shows duplicated Code fragments..

Imho, if an AI can figure out what you are doing, you are probably doing it wrong and writing redundant code to begin with...

It doesn't scale, just like the internet. After all we can only connect 2^32 devices to it.

Luckily it's possible to build additional layers, like routing and subnets on top of ipv4, maybe even switch to ipv6.. why do you think Blockchain is limited to that 5 second introduction sentence... It's like dismissing the internet after hearing that every device needs a fixed, unique, addressable identifier and hence can never be scale able ...
