I should add that Nintendo is freaking out over Yuzu because now a Steam deck or similar PC handheld can play Switch games (and many other platforms). I'm not surprised they sued Yuzu though instead of Valve. Once a closed system like a console is cracked for "home brew" or "custom firmware" (i.e. piracy), it's basically game over for that platform with new releases becoming a trickle of mostly shovelware.
What would be the claim against Valve? What does running Homebrew on a Switch have to do with emulating a Switch on SteamDeck?
Basically, the bare glass ar approach requires a projection system to have the light be at the right focal length. Also the approach is fundamentally limited in field of view and opacity. So camera and applying to display is the popular approach now, well so far as any ar is "popular"
The XReal Air 2 Pro glasses that I'm wearing right now use birdbath optics to project the image. As far as opacity goes, they're about as dim as my regular sunglasses, but I can press a button to dim the front lens more. I can adjust the image however I like, from barely visible to completely opaque.

Win10 worked okay on my box, until the "Anniversary Update" made my USB hub stop working (WTF?). It still works fine on Linux, so I use that instead.
