The original value in Bitcoin, and other crypto, was how much you could make mining new coins. Those days are long gone and have degraded into various cons, where gamblers buy in and hope the value goes up enough to make a quick buck. That's not an investment.

Making a proven unstable form of currency legal tender is simply gambling on an entire economy. Dumb. How about finding ways to attract generation of sustainable value by building an industry? There must be something they're good at.

Search engines do not require logins. One can already verbally ask Google or Bing questions and get answers. This AI chatbot may not become as big as some think it will. Maybe the researchers are looking for grant money by making unfounded claims about what is to come.

Apple has the right to ask their employees to show up at the office, when requested. This policy, of course, prevents anyone that isn't within driving distance to actually work for them. Was the new policy an internal compromise? If so, it's a poor one that seems to have been pushed by insecure middle managers. If someone can do their job remotely, and do it well, they should have to option to do exactly that. Employees can always move on to another company if unhappy at Apple.

I don't like seeing IMDb videos listed in Prime as free. Sure they're free, but with commercials. At first it seemed like they were trying to trick users and double dip by charging customers and receiving commercial payments. I don't pay to watch commercials. I'd prefer if Prime Video stopped showing the commercial laden movies and TV shows at all. Keep the commercial laden service completely separate. I doubt that will happen, however.

Frontier is a pretty shady company. They're now recovering from bankruptcy. So, this PR stunt implies that they have fiber everywhere. In fact, Frontier has very little fiber optic cable laid.

Our area has Frontier as one of the ISP's. They only offer broadband DSL 30 down and 3 up. That was actually good enough to stream 4K HDR videos. But, a small fiber company started up over two years ago and has been poaching Frontier customers since then with 100/100 speeds at about the same price as Frontier's 30/3. This looks like Frontier PR, which has never represented reality.
