This is a good thing.....
In the limit only islands are capable of sustaining
genetically pure strains of anything.
The Hawaiian islands are currently not a key source of food for the
globe and premiums are paid to import anything.
Keeping GMO materials out of the entire Hawaiian food chain
viable or not may be the only "zero contamination" baseline
for health impact assessments.
