  • I am all for advancing the state of technology, but what is the advantage of this? If you want small files, use jpg (yes jpg is lossy, and could use other improvements). If you want lossless, you are probably going to do some post processing, and as such you will end up using the huge native files of the editing software, like psd or xcf.
