She added that one reason to think they could be man-made quakes is precisely that they were not powerful enough to do any damage. Unlike California or the New Madrid Seismic Zone in Missouri, north-central Arkansas hasn't been deeply studied, largely because it hasn't produced destructive quakes.
Could just be bad journalism, but in one sentence the article claims that the reason to suspect it was man made is that the quake wasn't destructive, but *in the next sentence* it says that Arkansas hasn't
