Microsoft HAS noticed Linux

Microsoft expects Windows to have competition from Linux, according to its annual filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission: "Over the past year the Linux operating system has gained increasing acceptance, and leading software developers such as Oracle and Corel have announced that they will develop applications that run on Linux." Indeed, the first salvo of the war has perhaps been launched with the recent changes to the smb encryption defaults making Samba more difficult for newbie system administrators to setup (section 8 of the current samba-bugs FAQ)
Thanks to Oxymoron ;-) for the second reference.
