Poag writes " GNOME developer Eckehard Burns has submitted a color-reactive Lamp/Beacon widget to the GNOME UI Library, making it official--From written proposal to working code in less than 48 hours. GNOME developers now have the ability of encorporating color-reactive elements into their apps, at their own discretion. :) " What took so long? *grin*.
