Free Software providers align goals

Infoworld has a report about Tuesday's O'reilly Free software conference. The idea is to come up with some sort of coherent plan to address common issues such as fear of free software, commercial support, and how to develop software within the open source model. Not much appears to have been decided, but it's good to see a recognition of the need for concerted action if free software is to become more mainstream.
It would be nice if they stopped calling it freeware, don't you think?
