Intel Xeon

An anonymous reader sent in an interesting bit talking about Intel's 3rd Quarter offerings. The new Xeon line of chips will basically be P2's with some minor new stuff, and will tide the masses over until Merced arrives in 1999. They will have more internal cache, and they will be capable of doing 8 CPU SMP. First versions will be 400mhz.
