Netstat.net Faces Trouble

An anonymous reader wrote in to tell us that Netstat, the quite cool backbone monitor web site has been forced to shut down. Apparently a lawyer from "one of the largest ISPs in the world" is threatening a lawsuit for what they claim is innacurate data. Personally, I want this site back- it would be nice if we knew what ISP this in fact was so we could ask them to drop this extremely unfair threat. This sorta stuff really irritates me. I understand the importance of accuracy, but forcing a cool service to shut down because it happens to be making you look bad is just poor. This sorta stuff makes me fear the day that someone sues me for some rumor I post. Now I'm depressed.
