Summary: Now with the addition of so many different cryptos and interest and staking, ZenLedger is absolutely indispensable. The availability of so many tax forms and the ability to download into our Turbo Tax return are very helpful.

Positive: We have used ZenLedger since 2019. It has held our hands through imports from numerous exchanges, wallets, etc. It has helped us navigate problems with identifying where holdings came from.It has simplified life.

Negative: Sometimes I am frustrated by the time delays in "chats" but I am grateful for the willingness to continue with different approaches to solve problems.

Summary: Overall, ZenLedger is very good and I am not super at navigating the crypto world. I love the idea of having all of my crypto transactions captures and converted into a tax form for my accountant. This is a must have given the new regulations that are coming down the pike and the need for good records to properly file taxes.

Positive: That I can pretty easily extract information from all of my wallets and exchanges.

Does a good job tracking things and telling you when information is missing.

Has a good library to get help and has very good support.

Negative: Not all exchanges or wallets allow direct download and you have to create a csv. That gets a little tricky but do able with the help section and support.

Summary: The exceptions that come up, is by far, the most difficult thing to fix. A lot of those "problems" are from the various exchanges that for some reason do not include ALL of my transactions. This of course is no fault of the ZenLedger software. Just please keep going after them to fix their API files!!!

Positive: The ease at which I was able to pull down the API file from the various exchanges that I have utilized for my extensive crypto purchases.
I also love how easy it is to populate my information into the various tax forms that I need to file!!

Negative: Since I only need to use the software once a year, I have a hard time remembering all the steps I need to take to get everything completed for the new year.

Summary: Overall the experience has been positive. It's sometimes difficult to resolve differences. When a token becomes essentially worthless you need to remove it from your list of cryptos. That process takes some time.

Positive: ZenLedger is a company that can make your tax filing in your crypto world much easier. It's data driven so you need to download all wallets and exchanges you've used . One of the problems the IRS has it assumes you "sell" a crypto when you move that crypto from an exchange to a wallet. ZenLedger solves that problem by seeing an outgoing transaction from an exchange and the incoming action to a wallet. It's not a sell but simply a movement.

Negative: It's difficult to download some wallets and exchanges because you need the formats to be in a specific format. Sometimes you need to manually produce that document.

Summary: Good overall, the customer support makes you want to stay. Software needs some tweaking to better match transactions, as well as to maintain trade history and manual corrections between tax years. Satisfied overall :)

Positive: The customer support via chat is usually spot on and timely, and provide lots of resources and guidance. Closer to tax deadline expect delays for responses(1-3 days) closer to 1.5, which is still really good. Many softwares don't provide any support.
Fairly easy UI to navigate.
Provides good reports. Tax loss harvesting and Form 8949, etc. Have option of hiring a crypto CPA from within, fairly pricey, but nice option.
Solid amount of exchange and wallet support.

Negative: -The tax software tends to miss duplicates and/or doesn't always ignore them. Leaving you to manually investigate, for better or worse. It is also not intuitive enough to pick up on all transaction pairs across exchanges/wallets, gets most of them, but seems to miss some of the obvious ones.
-Need to increase the coins offered in the manual custom Wallet section.
- and/or allow integration of custodial wallets using public addresses(Koinly offers a feature like this)
-From one year to the next, when synching API's, any manual changes and/or transaction issues that were resolved seem to get reset and lost. Leaving one to re-do, which is time consuming and annoying. My tax liability even changed from the prior year when I was curious to check it...weird.

Summary: Good. Schedules are usable for IRS reporting. Pricing is good. I look at the harvesting feature as very important guidance.

Positive: Printouts are clear and contain all required information to be reported.
Number of exchanges and wallets in ZenLedger.

Negative: Downloadables don't always work.
List of my holdings is wrong.
Includes positions sold.
Downloads clearly shows position sold.

Summary: I am very happy with the product and would recommend this to anyone.

Positive: I am happy to recommend the product.

Negative: Some coin symbols need to be updated to reflect the new logos
The interface looks a bit dated no issues with functionality.

Summary: I like using this site to double check Coinbase's calculations and for its ability to select multiple cost-basis calculation methods (FIFO, LIFO, HIFO). I recommend it.

Positive: ZenLedger allows you to link your Coinbase account and then it conveniently calculates your cost-basis for all transactions and generates tax forms.

Negative: The site can take a while to generate the forms. I'd like it to be quicker at processing the transactions and generating tax documents.

Summary: Especially if you are a power crypto user, ZenLedger keeps you out of IRS jail. The Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR) would have been nearly impossible to create manually. And of course, many exchanges are located outside the US.

Positive: Every year ZenLedger gets better. It will handle all your crypto tax issues and if you get stuck, the team will quickly help you. Fabulous tool!

Negative: There is a bit of a learning curve, especially with the terminology. But that's no different than any software tool.

Summary: It was good, I would use the tool again to do my taxes. It would be good if ZenLedger bring the price down on its products since using its tool would cost about as much as it does to do one's own taxes for the year.

Positive: Process for generating tax documents for TurboTax was super easy. It's a great tool for infrequent crypto traders like myself, who can fit into the free tier of the product.

Negative: The price of the product is steep once you reach a certain number of transactions in a year.

Summary: Get answers quickly, found all the coins, exchanges, etc. Great!

Positive: No one else understands crypto like ZenLedger and IRS knows that they are trustworthy so I trust them too.

Negative: Everything is good, I have had no problems with the figures.

Summary: I don't use it often, but when I do, I have no complaints as noted above. Not understanding crypto at first, this is an excellent way to better understand the tax ramification.

Positive: Very easy to use and very good customer support. When asking for help via text, they say 24-48 hours to get a response, but I have used it twice now and have received a response within the first day.

Negative: So far so good, hope it stays that way! There was a lot of areas when first using the program that I did not understand, and that did take some time.

Summary: Excellent - happy to have this tool. I know there are alternative companies who claim they offer crypto tax assistance, but I feel ZenLedger is the leader in this field. I also appreciate receiving frequent informative Emails.

Positive: ZenLedger has provided me an efficient and effective means of dealing with my crypto taxes. Customer support has been great, particularly since I am not particularly computer literate.

Negative: Navigating between different parts of the site too frequently

Summary: I would say that my skill-set and knowledge of cryptocurrencies is at "intermediate level." ZenLedger has greatly simplified my annual requirements for tracking and filing taxes in regard to cryptocurrency transactions over the past 3 years since I started using the product and website.

Positive: (1) Makes tracking crypto transactions easier and have one place to review all crypto transactions.
(2) Required IRS forms for filing automatically populated is a big time saver.
(3) Tax checklist review module and verification of trades helps to ensure I did not miss anything throughout the year.

Negative: Updating the wallets and exchanges takes some practice depending on the exchange/ wallet.

Would like to see more wallets supported by ZenLedger (STX/HIRO/etc).

Summary: I started investing in crypto in Feb 2021. I knew I had a bunch of transactions and a slight capital gain but didn't know how many or how much. With tax time approaching, I did some research and bought ZenLedger. I had over 600 transactions and 5k in capital gains. ZenLedger made it super easy to download transactions from different brokerages and calculate my tax forms. They also connect to TurboTax. Highly recommend!

Positive: Easily links to different brokerages and crypto wallets. Keeps a nice ledger of all your crypto holdings with up to date transactions. Calculates and easily creates the needed tax forms for TurboTax.

Negative: I wish I would have known that crypto brokerages can be linked with TurboTax so a ledger is not really necessary to complete taxes.
