    Summary: Love the product. We have no intention of changing anytime soon. My team is happy to use this product from home and get the job done much quicker than our previous accounting programs.

    Positive: Xero has a very flexible interface. The pricing is extremely attractive and the ability to use the software online from anywhere is also a major benefit to my organization. The sales reports are fantastic. The ease of sending invoices, integrating with stripe, and other merchant facilities, allowing our clients to make payment with credit card, and so many other great functions.

    Negative: We are not super happy with the support in Australia. We feel that an online chat would allow us to solve problems and understand the platform in a much greater way. Also we find the financial reporting to be strange for sorting month to month. They go right to left on months rather than left to right. It can be corrected and changed but this requires about 30 minutes of playing around with the advanced reporting options

    Xero is indispensable in the creation of invoices

    Summary: By implementing Xero we have gone further than with any other software for accounting processes, such as managing all of our payroll operations. We love being able to work with CPA firms and ACH payment processing, which ensures that we will continue to implement Xero's services in the future.

    Positive: With Xero we have increased our experience in tax administration, and in general our level of work with invoicing, which involves working with invoices in different formats. Xero also allows us to manage our check writing and purchase order processes, so there is total control of our monetary processes.

    Negative: Xero does not have administrative tools that allow us to work with warehouse inventories, which makes it a relatively useless service in the sales area. Fortunately, it compensates for this by allowing us to track expenses and billing operations in such detail. It also does not have enough options to duplicate payment alerts.

If you need multiple users with various permissions and roles, the effect can be different. We use Xero as an affordable alternative to QuickBooks across the organization. With little or no accounting experience, its user-friendly interface allows me to effectively and efficiently manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and generate dynamic reports to track our overall financial performance and identify areas of opportunity.

    Positive: Xero presents us with an affordable alternative to Quickbooks, showing us that we will always have other options. Its visual interface is very easy to use and manipulate, which helps us to manage this software to perfection at times. It allows beginners to generate detailed reports and analysis for timely delivery to their superiors. It integrates seamlessly with PayPal and traditional banks, which makes it easy to handle payments and purchases through this software without having to go to any other.

    Negative: I would like to see a lot of reports, unless Xero provides you with something similar to customization, you can't create them. Custom reports are limited.

    Summary: Waaaaaay better than MYOB or Reckon. Overall, easy to use, reports make sense and reconciliation is a breeze.

    Positive: Clean layout, easy to navigate, credit card payments of invoices register immediately so it's easy to see when something is paid.

    Negative: Can't submit part days of leave over a multiple day span which is annoying when employee has eg. 2.5 days of leave.

    Great Quickbooks Alternative

    Summary: Overall our experience with the platform, their integrations and support have been key to us saving tons of manual processing time between our projects and billing.

    Positive: Integrations with our other software made switching to Xero a breeze. We have been a long time customer of WorkflowMax for our projects, POs and invoicing and the ability to get this date to our account platform changed our workflow process for the better.

    Easy for someone just starting accounting

    Summary: As someone with no background in accounting software I think this is possibly one of the best introductions to that world. If you just have a playa round with it for a while you'll soon come to realize how simple it can be as long as you understand basic business terminology.
    After being here for 6 months I've also come to realize how many other businesses use Xero.
    In terms of their support, I have never had to use it, there was a time when the site crashed and they have a status update page which lets you know exactly what's going on which made it a lot easier to know when it would be back up.

    Positive: 6 months ago I started my new Kickstart job as an Assistant Accountant with the only knowledge of business being to a bare minimum.
    I wasn't able to be given full training on my first day as my director had a meeting.
    From 8am - 5pm I learnt almost everything I needed to know from simplifying repeat invoices to the accounts codes for reconciliation.
    As my business were transferring from Sage to Xero at the time of me joining, I can say happily I'm glad they chose Xero.

    Negative: Xero isn't the most eye catching, but compared to other Payroll and Accounting Software, it is a lot better.
    When trying to make the switch to Xero Payroll it was quite a daunting task and eventually we decided to just use it for invoicing and accounting in which it excels at compared to others that I've used or tried

    Summary: To manage our accounting information it is excellent to be able to count on Xero, which shows many excellent dynamics that make us spend less time creating analysis on our finances in specific time ranges. We recommend Xero to quickly improve the invoicing processes of any business.

    Positive: Through Xero we have been able to carry out all our non profit management and employee accounting operations, including all online payment processes that need to be carried out programmatically, or in case of emergencies. Xero has its own calculator, mostly oriented to tax calculations.

    Negative: Xero does not provide notifications of changes made to the accounting books, nor does it allow you to work with accounting operations that require specific integrations to other accounting software or document management services that would allow you to better customize your books.

    Good enough if you understand the limitations

    Summary: Overall it isn't bad at all. But you need to go into it with your eyes open. Personally, I find it a little bit easier to use than QuickBooks Online, but I can also understand why other people may feel differently.

    Positive: Data entry is generally pretty easy, and account reconciliation is excellent. They have a nice selection of standard reports. And the speed of the program is very good.

    Negative: The biggest problem I have with this company is their support. It takes quite a while to get a response, and because the software is international, sometimes you get people who don't understand the issue, and sometimes you find that their solution is generalized for an international market and doesn't work so well in the United States.
