Makes it super easy to let your application send texts!

    Edited: Jul 17 2020

Summary: Twilio's the only text sending service I know of for automated SMS messaging within apps and thus far I'm pretty happy with it.

Positive: I learned about Twilio at a hackathon in 2016, and I really liked how easy Twilio's REST API is to use. The documentation is great too, so even with just a few hours I was able to create a prototype app that could send SMS to users.

Negative: I struggled a bit but that was more because I was new to the concept of REST APIs at the time.

Stable & Reliable - and very nearly great

    Date: Aug 15 2022

Summary: Generally - I'm very happy with Twilio. Yes, I wish error handling was faster and more intuitive. But since errors are highly infrequent, that's not a deal-breaker.

Positive: The Zapier-Twilio interface is a good one, and makes sending MMS and SMS messages very easy. The general UX for Twilio is OK, too.

Negative: The problem comes when there's a messaging error. The error notification can be a long time in coming, and not particularly informative. Even if you drill down to the data dispatched to Twilio, the error codes aren't very informative.
